What we store. The carpool name, each person’s name and home/pickup address, the driving schedule, and — only while a ride is running — the driver’s live location. It’s kept in your browser, and because sync is on, in the Firebase Realtime Database this app is connected to.
Why cross-device sync is on. It’s what makes a join code work on every parent’s phone and shows the car moving in real time. Without it, a carpool would stay on the one device that created it. You can point it at a different database, or turn it off, from the Sync screen.
No accounts. Not sold. There’s no login and your carpool data isn’t sold. This page does show Google ads, which may set their own cookies; see Google’s policies for details.
Disclaimer. Ride Convoy is a convenience tool, not an emergency or safety service. ETAs and locations are estimates and can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable. Always confirm pickups directly with the driver. Provided “as is,” without warranty.
